Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Talking How did your state do?

We elected Republicans as:

Governor
Attorney General
Secretary of State
And to the two slots on the Supreme Court giving us a majority there again.

We also elected a Republican majority in the state House. We already had a Republican majority in the state Senate.

We also passed a Constitutional amendment to bar felons from holding political office for 20 years.

We also voted down the proposal for a constitutional convention.*

*This has been promoted by the anti-gun crowd. The state Constitution bars local units of government from passing ordinances stricter than state statutes. This crowd wants to change that so that local units of government can ban concealed carry in their jurisdiction.

How about that?

Two of our congressmen were re-elected both are dems. The governor race went right down to the wire and the Dem squeeked out a victory. The campain was real dirty and IMO if the GOP guy had taken the high road he would have won. Most people were pretty sick of it all and really didn't want to vote for either one of the clowns. Most all of the lesser offices were won by GOP.

Texas pretty much sweep the Democrats away. It was an ugly blood bath down here.

Our new OK governor will be Republican Mary Fallin. Fallin is the former lt. governor. Fallin had an affair with her state trooper driver when she was lt. governor: The trooper was fired and Fallin was elected to the US house.

Looks like a clean sweep by the Republican party including a win over Dem. Alan Boyd to Congress. Keep your eyes on Sen. Mario Rubio from south Florida, he will be the future of the Republican party. I hope Nancy Pelosi goes back under that 63 Chevrolet in the yard she crawled out of.

In my district in Virginia, Congressman Eric Cantor cruised to another victory!

Edit: I forgot to mention... The brain-dead people up in northern VA also re-elected that wickedly liberal, anti-gun, moron, Jim Moran.

A bloodbath, maybe... But, I wouldn't call it ugly.

Unfortunately, my congressional district is gerrymandered to ensure that Sheila Jackson Lee will be in Congress until she dies... Amazing that people still vote for this vapid clown. On the foreign relations committee, yet still thinks that there are North and South Vietnams... Thinks the Mars Ranger can take pictures of the Flag that Neil Armstrong put on the Moon. Made a big issue out of the belief that there aren't enough Atlantic hurricanes with African-American sounding names. Made a spectacle of herself at the Michael Jackson funeral. Never met a tax hike she wouldn't vote for. Never met a tax cut she would vote for. Why should she? 80% of her district doesn't pay a dime in income tax. What an embarrassment.

I find it pathetic that we need to have districts gerrymandered to guarantee the election of a black democrat. What would MLK think? Is that the dream? I thought the dream was to judge people by the content of their character, not by the color of their skin.

Republicans won real big last night. The key factor has to do with redistricting
I think I heard they picked up over 500 seats at the state level. That number is awesome.

Remember Bobby Ethridge? The guy from NC, megar farmer who happens to be a 7th timer congressman and assulted the college kid 6 months ago? Re-elected. Told you he was safe.
