I think it is a little different this time. The Tea Party movement, and the many of the rest of the country are watching their elected officials closer than I ever remember. The winners in this election better realize that they are expected to stop, and reverse the damage being done to the country. Even if there are not enough votes to override an Obama veto on health care repeal, they are expected to force Obama to veto it. Who know's, they may get some democrat's to come over on an override. In this climate anything may happen.
This is not like in times past when the new Republicans go to Washington, and try to get along and seek bi-partisanship. If the Republicans try that, it will only turn the stomachs of the people who sent them there. They better realize they are on probation, and if they don't do what is expected of them, they will be replaced the next time they run.
They beauty of what is happening right now, is that the money being contributed to the campaigns of these Tea Party candidates is coming straight from the American people. The money is bypassing the RNC altogether. It is greatly exceeding the amount of money the candidates would get from the RNC. The Republican party is the vehicle to which they people must run on. By sending the money directly to the candidates, it is forcing the party to conform. It is also giving the American people more control than they ever thought they had. That control was always there. It just took an Obama to stir it up, and hopefully that will be Obama's legacy.
