Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Let's piss off PETA!

Gentlemen. There is a growing threat to our hunting lifestyle and I think we all have noticed it. PETA. As they try to take our favorite hobby out, I propose we attempt to strike back. Here's my proposition: Go hunting for whatever, then take a picture of you with your kill, and e-mail it to PETA's website with the caption "Happy hunting!" If PETA is still completely crazy, I doubt they've changed, slowly but surely their infrastructure will break, thus eliminating the threat through non-violent resistance. So, what do you say? You in?

Cool

It's a bad idea. Spamming someone else's website because you disagree with them is not right. It's just juvenile behavior.

Yep, and that will give them more ammunition! You fight them by electing pro gun rights people.

There is always going to be the wacko groups out there, all we have to do is ignore them.

Agree.

And exactly how will crashing their email server(s) cause their "infrastructure to break?"

I agree that this is a bad idea that just gives them more ammo. There are better ways to prevail, such as exposing their irrationality, hypocrisy and extremism. Most people don't support their extremist views or hypocrisy.

Here's a website documenting their hypocrisy.

I think you fight them by teaching them that they're uninformed, and show them how/why they are.

Most anti's and non-gun owners, etc... have no clue how guns work, how purchases are made, how hunting works...

I assume guns become way less scary once you understand how they work, seems most anti's are so scared of something they've probably never seen in person due to movies or something. I think hunters/gun owners respect firearms more so than the average person/non-gun owner, but we don't necessarily "fear" them the same way antis do.

Was recently arguing with an anti... one point I made that seemed to make alot of sense to her was how many people in the country, ie rural areas, own guns and never use them to commit crimes. She of course wanted no guns for anyone, and was anti hunting of course too, so even having a gun for hunting didn't make much sense to her. Like I said.

Also for some reason hunters are seen as not being animal lovers, when I think most of us probably are bigger animal lovers than the average person. Particularly non-pet owners.

Also I feel like there is this myth that 99% of hunters, kill an animal take the head to mount it and leave the carcass to rot in the woods. Of course they have no clue that many states have laws against such acts. Or the fact that the great white hunters isn't really reality, or a small percentage of hunters.
