Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Another BIG defector from the global warming camp...

Slowly but surely the truth is coming out. Thank God!! Cap and Trade will surely be the straw that breaks this country's back if it were passed. Those willpa heads in the House that supported that fraud bill should be voted out at the least...

Well, the game is not over yet, so don't count your chickens yet . . .

It is an amazing story. I fondly hope that one day this global warming alarmism is put to bed. I grant that today is not that day, but suppose that day does occur. Then, on that day, I hope that a DETAILED post mortem is conducted. How did this happen? Who was complicit in this fraud/scam/hysteria? What scientific research processes and what news reporting processes what UN governance procedures were corrupted that enabled this? What was the cost to the public? Who profited by this? Can the theft by these be recovered? At the very least, those in academic posts who strained the ethics of dispassionate pursuit of knowledge and research need to be removed from their posts and their corruption VERY PUBLICALLY exposed. Likewise those in the news media who selectively pushed these theories and hoaxes should be discredited and ostracized by the news community.

If it appears that I want blood and some careers to fall . . . then I am communicating successfully.

I would also hope that such a post mortem would expose how turning an immature science into a public issue is bad medicine. Public opinion does not determine scientific reality. Governments do not converge on scientific understanding by the process of voting and sloganeering, perhaps bolstered by Saturday Night Live skits and rants by young comedians. The general public and politicians and artists generally are NOT skilled in the practice of dispassionate science. Perhaps such a post mortem could discourage future excesses and hysterias by the media and/or politicians.

Cool

Someone must have told him about that humungous glacier that formed the Great Lakes and then melted away with no help from us humans.

That will never happen.

"Global warming" is just another excuse, tool, etc., of the anti-capitalists and those who want increased government control. Today it is global warming and health insurance. Tomorrow it will be something else. But the underlying goal is always the same: less freedom.
