Seems that Home Depot is quite active in pushing diversity, specifically gays and lesbians. This may be old news to some and may have even been discussed out here, however this is news to me.
Before I learned of this I supported Home Depot over Lowes for various reasons. Not any more. I cannot support this kind of commitment from a company.
I don't support Walmart for various reasons, BP (they are big pushers of gay pride), Toys R Us (sponsors gun buy-backs), and the list goes on.
I am not a gay-hating basher, just against my core beliefs so I will choose not to support such a company. It seems any more it's quite hard to find a decent "big box" type of company to support.
Does it really matter what a company's corporate philosophy is to you?

If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a civilization, it expects what never was and what never will be.
Please define what you mean by "support"... There are differences between being anti-gay, being neutral, being pro-gay, and being a pro-gay activist. The concerns raised here seem to be that Home Depot has stepped far beyond being merely "pro-gay" and into the realm of "activism," i.e. large monetary contributions, sponsoring events, etc.
I was in a toys-r-us shopping for my 3 year old sons birthday. I saw a few guns (water guns) that looked like outer space bazookas (monstrously huge). I was thinking I'd buy him some dart guns or something. I asked a clerk "where's all the guns at???". He replied that toys r us does not sell toy guns that resemble real guns...company policy. Oh, I see. I then went to wal mart and bought him two nerf dart gun (pistols) complete with 10 darts each and laser sights...and the 25 round ammo belt. The cat has not been the same since...LOL

Are there differences? Does it really matter? To use a worn out cliche, you can't just get a little pregnant. A company either supports or does not support a lifestyle decision just as simply as I can either support or not support HD with my dollars.

If a company has a right to move offshore because of union policies to acquire cheaper labor does it not have other rights on other socio-political issues?
This thread brings up a grocery list of interesting questions. Raising them and the answers would be a change of course so I won't, but another thread maybe.
Keeping their mouths shut due to fear of having a queen parade in front of their building, interfering with and intimidating customers, does not render them pro-gay.
