So what really happened in DC over the weekend? So far, there has been an extreme lack of any news coverage. It's been very tough to find anything relating to what happened. I will admit, no violence in my limited research. However, a ton of trash left behind by the so called enviromentalist folks. Go figure, was anyone surprised?

I got my butt back on the Metro around 2 pm while I had the chance to get back out of there before the crowd. At least that is what I thought. The crowd was going both ways then. Then around 2:30 or 3:00 the Metro was shut down for a while at the Smithsonian to try and scatter the crown in order to get people in and out of there. ( Oh yeah it was because no one showed up for the rally..) It was actually a very hugh crowd but seeing how you missed the news you wouldn't know that.. No one never went to DC to distroy the place as specially at a memorial. So your judgements are way off so lets just keep it that way. None of the news stations would dare to try and guess how many were there because there were just to many.I did happen to see one news station helicopter almost colide with an Air Force plane and after that the news copters were no longer flying around there..
One thing I will say the crowd was bigger than Glenn Beck and Failin Pailin had. But I am sure you would try and say that I am wrong because you never saw it on the Fox News station. Fox News has become a disgrace to this nation and in the upcoming future they will feel it.. By the way the rally was for the people and not the wannabe stars..LOL I am sure the politians were watching quite closely as well because our votes count..
Whether the rally worked or not we will see when the votes are counted..This fall!
Like I said, the rally that wasn't. The pictures show it wasn't even close to being the size of Glen Beck's rally. So one has to wonder, Glen Becks rally was self organized. This rally was organized by union leaders and some union members were mandated to go. Unions were paying for the transportation but yet couldn't muster the people to show.

I did not see all the trash you talk about but, I had left the area a little early.. Some of us do have respect for the memmorial.. The bus we went in on carried all the signs and ect. out with us. We did leave a box of trash from the bus in with other boxes in the parking area for easy clean up. So do not say all left a mess. Also not all was from union supported members. I am sure your republicans buddies left a pile as well as some people are ingnorant that way. Also no union member was mandated as you say so wrong again. I am guessing you did not see all the pics as it was bigger by a long shot..LOL

Sorry Phil, but generally I find that unions are the disgrace. I prepared taxes for a gm worker. Union guy. Supervised 4 other guys on a line. Made $85,000 (which, imo, was probably about 60k to 65k more than he could possibley be worth). He wasn't smart enough to pour water out of a boot with the directions on the bottom. I thought no wonder gm prodects suck. He was declaring banckruptcy because he could no longer afford the payments on his double-wide...what a joke.
Unions may have served a purpose back in the day, but now the are no more than an entitlement program with lots of political muscle...which is unfortunate for all of us

I guess you didn't see the photos of the two events. Beck's was AT LEAST twice as big. Those who attended the 10/2 rally were a bunch of littering, blithering idiot fools.

Here's a side by side comparison of the size of the two events... Anyone who thinks that the photo on the right shows more people than the photo on the left is a raging idiot. You can try to guess which is Beck's rally, and which photo is the ragtag bunch of communist sympathizers from last weekend.

Fact is unions are as much American as baseball and apple pie. Unions built this country to what it is today, no question about.. As you look around this country it is falling apart very rapidly. At the same time corporations are spending millions a day to try and crush the unions in this country. Ever wonder why? Because they want us to be just like the Chinese and all these opther poor countries where they can have complete control over every employee in it. No breaks for anyone, we will control all work hours, we will control whether or not you can use a rest room and countless other issues. That is what your big corporations are after. They want you to be unemployed so that they can make all kinds of dollars else where. If corporations have thier way you be like a Mexican working for peanuts while the laugh at you. You can thank the unions for what you have today and without them it wouldn't be long and we will all be back like yesteryear. There is no doubt about it. So believe what you must and not all may be good when you concider some that work for unions. But not all are abd either..
