He'll probably get it because logic/common sense/reasoning is out the door for most in this country. He was "technically" on the job, and "by definition" workman's compensation is to compensate you if you are hurt/injured on the job. We can't be injecting any logic here--it doesn't matter than he was hurt due to his own negligence and stupidity, not to mention killing two innocents in the process.
The peanut gallery should be a quiet place for a little while now, with all the participants coming here defending the guy and his "right" to workman's comp.

It is surprising in a way, but in a way it's not. When people don't have the nuggets to even admit that certain behaviors are abnormal and/or perverted, they sure won't have the stones to deal out any justice...especially if it wouldn't fit the dictionary definition.

For the record, I defy you to show where I denied that the behaviors in question were "abnormal" or otherwise. But of course, that fact will be added to the long list of others you'll simply choose to ignore because it conflicts with your 'opinions.'
The news is replete with stories like this one. With the advent of "all news all day" broadcasts and the internet, there is no end to the stuff that will make your eyes glaze over and your mind feel numb as a result of what people will do.
Just a few days ago, in an Ohio city, we had a couple of gang bangers murder an elderly couple in a drive by because they were in a car similar to the one owned by the other bangers they wanted to kill. Mistaken identity.
Outrageous? Just another day in America.
High speed chases should probably be regulated somehow, but that is an area that I don't feel comfortable addressing.
