Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Mc Donalds thinking of dropping healthcare coverage

Have you all seen this report? It apparently was in the WSJ yesterday and now picked up by others. Bottom line, they need a waiver from Obamacare or they will have to drop coverage for 30k lower wage workers.

My question: Will the news media go out and interview the idiot in FL who had the orgasim when Obama called on him to ask a question?

For those who don't remember:

Too funny!

We've got to pass it so we can see what's in it. More similar actions forthcoming (likely).

Every company should drop coverage and we should get single payer for all.

Those who can afford a premium healthcare plan can pay for it.

And why would you do this? Since its not working anywhere else in the world, why would we screw ourselves? Besides that, you and everyone else has been all hot and bothered by China, they don't have it. How do you compete with them by adding another monkey on our back?

Single payer is bankrupting other countries. It doesn't work.

Why should I have to pay twice (once through taxes to subsidize your single payer coverage, and a second time to buy a premium plan), just to get what I've already got? Those who can't afford healthcare coverage can already get services, if they make the effort to find them. Harris County Hospital District in Houston TX has nearly a Billion Dollar annual budget for treatment of those who can't afford healthcare. Available services run the gamut from ER to Brain Surgery. We give away $100 Million in medical services every year to illegals.

Under the old system, you could be insured for 20 years in a row with a major carrier (who shall remain unnamed) in say, Arizona. Move to West Virginia and do you get to transfer your insurance to WV? Yep, but....only after you re-apply...whereupon you can be declined, rated up, or have limited benefits as a result of pre-existing condition exclusions. As soon as you moved to a new state, you are essentially a new customer.

This is an example of the type of abuses that were in place.

No...I'm not saying I'm happy in any way with ObamaCare...but there were unaddressed problems with the previous system. Many of those problems were NEVER addressed. And as I've said, we now have a mess because no one addressed it prior to the application of the muscle and bribes from the left.

I'm not going to debate this issue again. If you want to know what I know, search my previous posts for the facts and my analysis.

I hate what happened, but it happened because abuses, greed, and neglect in the private sector.

Saluk..,
Your post is an oxymoron.

If we ever get to single payer, we won't have a choice. What do you think single payer means? The only people who will have a say-so in what kind of health coverage they get will be the ones who pass the laws on each of us.

The power certainly isn't with the individual when it comes to health insurance, prescriptions, etc...

Insurance should be non-profit, that alone would fix a lot.

Everyone would be covered under the gov't system of single payer.

The rich who wanted a premium plan, would be able to pay for it, as is the case in many other countries with quality healthcare.

None the less it'll never happen, politicians are in big pharma's pocket big time, special interests etc...

so yes until campaign finance reform also happens, our word/opinions mean just about nothing.
