Something that is scary, many people in America take the Daily Show and the Colbert Report as a legit news source.

Very scary and all because he picked vegies for 10 hours. Give me a break. I did it for many summers. Sure, I like the job I have now but as a teenagers, it was good work to get.

Exactly. But for some reason college kids, now a days, believe that they are suppose to go to school and nothing else. I guess party, but that’s a given. Not all college kids are like this, but there is definitely a trend. Like I said in another post, when did American's developed this sense of being above a hard day’s work? Every summer since I was in 9th grade, I worked in sorghum fields bloom dating and hand thinning crops for DeKalb Pfizer and Genetics. It was from sun up to sun down. I did it because I made $.25 above minimum. I believe it was $2.75 an hour. Also, I wanted all the hours. I could only work in the summer due to an Athletic scholarship. If it were not for a full scholar ship which bound me to NCAA rules (scholarship + outside income could not exceed the amount of a full scholarship), I would have worked during school. Last time I visited DeKalb, they told me they cannot get Americans to do the job, and they now offer $10.00 an hour. They have to ship in migrant workers.

??? Not sure about Beck, but I know Rush started out shinning shoes in a barber shop and Hannity worked as a day laborer in construction.

It's an embarrassment to the nation, of congress, and to the American people that someone like Colbert was asked by a congress woman to come to congress and testify. And for him to "remain in character" and for the committee to allow his mockery of congress is an absolute disgrace.

In a rare moment of clear and rational thinking Conyers asks Colbert to leave the committee room and embarrasses the hell out of him in front of the entire room.

He should have demanded that Colbert stop is mockery immediately and demanded he get the hell out of the room.

This little episode was fitting for the Congress as it stands today. Disgusting, but fitting...

I've done those blocks and a whole bunch off them. I've got almost 400' of retaining wall built 4.5 feet tall. Lots of fun. Since you're so experienced jeep, I'll fly you first class to NC so you can help with my lower patio. It will only be about 250 blocks to lay in that project. I'll make sure you have a bottomless glass or good micro brew to boot.
