Holdren told CNSNews.com that he would use the “free market economy” to implement the “massive campaign” he advocated along with Population Bomb author Paul Ehrlich to “de-develop the United States.”
In his role as President Barack Obama’s top science and technology adviser, Holdren deals with issues ranging from global warming to health care.
“A massive campaign must be launched to restore a high-quality environment in North America and to de-develop the United States,” Holdren wrote along with Paul and Anne H. Ehrlich in the “recommendations” concluding their 1973 book Human Ecology: Problems and Solutions.
“De-development means bringing our economic system (especially patterns of consumption) into line with the realities of ecology and the global resource situation,” Holdren and the Ehrlichs wrote.
“Resources must be diverted from frivolous and wasteful uses in overdeveloped countries to filling the genuine needs of underdeveloped countries," Holdren and his co-authors wrote. "This effort must be largely political, especially with regard to our overexploitation of world resources, but the campaign should be strongly supplemented by legal and boycott action against polluters and others whose activities damage the environment. The need for de-development presents our economists with a major challenge. They must design a stable, low-consumption economy in which there is a much more equitable distribution of wealth than in the present one. Redistribution of wealth both within and among nations is absolutely essential, if a decent life is to be provided for every human being.”

The halfway rational ones get the boot... i.e. Christina Romer, the Chairman of Obama's Council of Economic Advisors, who said that allowing the Bush tax cuts to lapse will be "highly contractionary." What happened to her? No longer with the administration...

That bill aryes nutjob came here to speak at UW not long ago- but ppl found out & said something about it all & he was then uninvited( maybe he was threatened to - maybe?( never heard much more about that part of it))- then he sued to come back( brought a case before a federal judge etc)

I think you've hit the nail on the head. I think it is this belief that fuels my 'piss and vinegar' attitude towards obama-zombies... I believe this administration is destructive of my country, and the people who support him yet, are vile and destructive themselves, whether due to ignorance or intent. These must be met toe-to-toe and nose-to-nose because this is what backs libs down; they may be able to get others to pay their bills, but nobody's gonna fight their fights for them. It will be very disappointing if we can't turn things around in November...
The reason Obama does not care his brother lives in a hut, is because that is what he and his Marxist buddies think is good for all of us.

I think that if Obama gets his way and redistributes the wealth with the rest of the world, everybody will have a hut with an extra room.
Other people's money only goes so far.
Of course, when you hear these egg heads talk about how Americans are using up the worlds recourses, and how we can't expect to live the same lifestyle we are all accustomed too, I really do believe they would be content if we all lived in a hut.

yes...and it is the insidious nature of these vermin that most disgusts me.
