Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Law to ban sale of violent video games to kids

There proposed California law that is going to ban the sale of violent video games to those who are under the age of 18. There is a group that want's Utah AG to support it. Personally I think this is a law for nothing. There are already ratings on the video games and they are strickly enforced by the vendors. To buy any Mature rated video game you have to have ID to prove that you are old enough to buy it. The industry already has those safe guards in place. The goverment doesn't need to come in and fix something that isn't broken. Here is the link to the story http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=148&sid=12438715

I think kids should do what adults tell them.

I agree, this law is a definite first amendment issue. As a parent, I will make the decision what my son can and can't watch, I don't want the government making those kinds of decisions for me.

You can make that decision...when you go to the store and do so on his behalf. No one's taking that away from you...
