Default Government motors CEO gets 9 million bonus.

What was it Obama said about excessive pay and packages?? "I do think at a certain point you've made enough money". I guess this is ok because its only tax payers money.

Can't go wrong with a Ford Truck. I bought an F150 in 2008, and don't have one bad thing to say about it...

The one thing that I wish Ford would do is to upsize the Ranger a bit, to put it more in the class of the Colorado/Canyon. I've got clients who are Ford dealers so that's where I went when I bought the F150. I didn't really need a truck as big as that, but, needed a full size cab, which isn't offered in the Ranger.

I have always had full sized 4X4 trucks. My yearly road trip to Colorado with 2 buddies usually takes up all the space and then some. In the winter I need all the room for my ice fishing gear. I couldn't possibly get used to a smaller truck. Yup the new Ford 150 looks real nice. I'll be trading in my 2007 Silverado which was the worst of the past 5 Chevy trucks I have owned since 1996.

Yeah, I generally only make the drive to our deer lease with one other guy. Sometimes my son comes along, but he doesn't take up a whole lot of space.

If you are looking at the supercrew cab, I think the F150 is only offered with a 5 1/2' bed. Don't know if that is large enough for you. I'm a bit ticked at my client. I bought my '08 in December of '08. He said he'd "never seen deals from Ford like they've got right now, and we'll probably never see them again." Of course... the deals on the 09's and 10's have been even better, AND, the newer models get a bit more horsepower AND better gas mileage.

May have to start padding my bills... (that's a joke...)

I usually get the 6 1/2 foot bed in the extended cab version rather than the super cab or club cab as some call them. I wouldn't want the shorter box and don't want the long wheel based version. Not sure whether I want to go with the 4.6 3 valve V8 or the 5.4 V8. I like power but really like good mileage. I don't really tow all that much other than putting my boat in and out for the season.

I've got the 5.4 in mine. It is rated 13 City/18 Highway, and that's pretty much right on what I actually get. I believe the new 5.4's are rated 14/20, and the new 4.6's are 15/21.

Note that mine is 2WD. I think the 4WD's get a little less.

I like having the 4 door Super Crew, because I fairly regularly have four or more people in the truck, and it's more convenient for putting the gun cases inside the truck if we're expecting rain on the way to the lease...

Since this has become a Ford thread. My Expedition is still running strong with the 5.4L and 350k on it. FYI, next year I think will be the roll out of a strong V6 in the 150 pushing 300 hp.
