I thought we already tried this. Wasn't that trillion dollar spending spree all about road building?

The obvious solution; when you have no money, spend more.

President Obama approved a final spurt of spending Tuesday to shore up the sluggish recovery, signing into law a $26 billion plan to save the jobs of thousands of teachers and other government workers. The measure brings total direct federal spending on the economy to nearly $1.2 trillion since the nation descended into recession in late 2007.

Budget 2011: Education Spending Skyrockets

Posted February 1st, 2010 at 6:30pm in Education

The President’s FY2011 budget request calls for significant increases in education spending and, as promised, the Department of Education is exempt from Obama’s so-called spending freeze.
At a briefing today at the Department of Education, words such as “historic” and “bold” were used to describe the President’s budget.

..............................

Oh yes historic & bold & exempt-

CNS ^| Matt Cover

Posted on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 9:32:11 AM by IbJensen

(Secretary of State Hillary Clinton outlines the Obama -

(
CNSNews.com) – The Obama administration is focused not just on health-care reform in the United States – but also on improving health care systems around the world, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced on Monday.

The new plan has a “woman- and girl-centered approach,” according to an administration fact sheet.

Speaking at Johns Hopkins University, Clinton outlined the six-year, $63-billion Obama administration initiative to bring global health care services “to more people in more places.” The administration’s Global Health Initiative has “everything” to do with foreign policy, she said. “This is a signature of American leadership in the world today, Clinton said. “ It’s also an issue very close to my own heart.”

Well since its close to clintoons heart to i think it should get at least100 billion more- for that " global-world womens heath care program"- foreign policy.

Cocaine for monkeys - but no cocaine or speical "free" heath care programs for girl baby possums?

Obama Stimulus money being used to study the effects of how “monkeys react under the influence of cocaine.”
28. Monkeys Get High for Science (Winston-Salem, NC) - $144,541
Researchers at Wake Forest University think that, in at least one case, it is good to monkey around with your stimulus dollars. The Department of Health and Human Services has sent $144,541 to the Winston-Salem college to see how monkeys react under the influence of cocaine. The project, titled “Effect of Cocaine Self-Administration on Metabotropic Glutamate Systems,” would have the monkeys self-administer the drugs while researchers monitor and study their glutamate levels.
