Default True freedom in Germany.

There's nothing that will make you appreciate living in a country like Germany more than having a kid. The fact that I know I can take my son to see a doctor no matter what happens is true FREEDOM. Also considering that I only have to pay 100 Euros a month for the best preschool you could imagine is pretty nice as well.

This is what my brother recently posted to his facebook.

I can't post my true feeling about him with out getting perma-banned.

I can only hope that something happens in his life to change his views or...... he renounces his United States citizenship and keeps his socialist loving ass over there in Europe.

Given Germany's history your bother is an interesting case. Some how the state has had the ability to create loyal subjects in the face of terrible atrocities. Makes you wonder what he would do to keep his "FREEDOM". Makes me also wonder what is taught in those schools that he finds "the best". Germany knows that indoctrinating children is key.

He sounds very feminine.

Well, Marx pretty much equated freedom with access to goods and services. Economic freedom, in other words. Socialist thinking took hold in Western Europe quite some time ago. They've never known what it's like to be free from the government, and probably never will.

Too bad he is too damn stupid to realize that he pays for it one way or the other. Nothing is free. Germans (the ones that work and pay taxes) have to pay an astronomically higher tax rate than us Americans on everything they do and buy. From income taxes to fuel taxes to VAT, etc... etc... Oh, the Germans pay for it. The German (European) socialist system relies on the hard working capitalists to pay enough in taxes to fund the entitlement and socialist programs that my idiot brother finds so "wonderful". Freedom my ass. Germans are subjects of their government.

And here is another one of his brilliant comments lower down on the same posting.

"And, considering that Germany has more millionaires per capita than the US kinda shoots that whole socialistic-no opportunity-no one can get rich bull**** down! Although they can be a bit grumpy and unfriendly.........why is that?"
Could it be they are grumpy and unfriendly cause they are sick and tired of having their hard earned money stolen from them and given to those that didn't earn it. Ya think?

Any one have a cure for such blatant stupidity?
He has always leaned a little left but didn't fall off the deep end until he went to the University of Colorado in Boulder. That place is full of full blown bleeding heart liberal professors and students.

I know I am preaching to the choir but I just gotta vent. I just can't believe that I have a brother that actually believes and loves this crap.

Come now- Salu - im pretty sure ppl here on the poltical forum have pointed out to you before where the gov gets its moneys & that health care isnt free.( here or there)

As BB pointed out above the cost of anything & everything has all those added vat , fuel taxes etc to it there also- not just the mthly fees.

As for europe & or germany being some kinda utopia - my arse.

I lived there when very young.
My son was stationed there for a few yrs- during his 8 yrs in the army. We visited him & his family there for 3 weeks right after 9/11/01.

While intresting - i was never so glad to get back into the Us & home again as that( many seemed feminine there, just something i noticed at the time & thought was strange)

As for public school costs here - i think your guessing way low( maybe your talking only the direct property tax per person/house?). I dont know when you went to school.

( just some first figures i saw looking it up- your welcome to check into them further )

These figures are for 2001-02 & o4- 6-8-9+ yrs ago( things have gone up since)

( i think its about 14k here in wy now per student if im not mistaken)

PUBLIC SCHOOL SPENDING

The District of Columbia spent more money per student ($13,187) than any state in the country in 2001-2002, according to a June 2004 report by the U.S. Census Bureau. Near the top of the list were New York ($11,546), New Jersey ($11,436), Connecticut ($10,001) and Massachusetts ($9,856).

Hey I feel for ya.I have a brother that fell in love with an American Muslim girl and in order to marry her, he had to become to become an American and practice Muslim himself.Well the good news is thats your problem, the bad news is,well there really is no bad news its still your problem.
I have never ever met a lazy German ever, those are some of the hardest working craftiest people I've met, they are the working dogs.. They manufacture some of the best products in the world. And besides that they can make the best products in the world while drunk.Im not saying they have no unemplyment but I am saying they respect each other so much they don't mind helping each other out because they are probaly drunk. Heck the German people are the ones vote that sociallist party into politictical power because they are drunk.I look at America and say yeah can understand why you don't want to have a Sociallistic Government, because you have millions of American Citizens that are freeloaders. Can totally understand that your country is full of lazy lazy people and why the American working class doesn't want to pay more taxes to cover all the lazy lazy American that sit on their butts drunk.I can look at the Germans and understand why they enjoy a sociallitistic Goverment because they are pull their fair share at work and again are capable of putting out the best products while drunk.
