Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Yeah,,, I love the unbiased reporting in that article...

Quote:
What's most interesting about the Spectator article is the many anonymous quotes attributed to DOJ staffers, who have nothing good to say about their employer and the new website. One tells the Spectator, ""We were told that the media team and the senior leadership that signed off on the design thought that the patriotic shtick from the Ashcroft days was a bit much for an agency that isn't supposed to be political. It was a real effort not to laugh at that." The internal sniping suggests that despite some efforts by Attorney General Eric Holder to re-professionalize the department, it is still full of Bush-era political hacks who burrowed their way into the bureaucracy where civil service rules make it difficult to remove them.
Yep... Those Bush guys... Not a one of them actually does the job. They're just hacks who can't be fired because of the "rules."

You know, that actually sounds like where my wife works. None of her co-workers actually do their job, but, they can't be fired because of fear of being sued under the "rules" against certain forms of "discrimination."

And, Holder is trying to "re-professionalize" the DOJ, by putting in qualified people who are not "political hacks"? Please. Holder is a political hack. Anyone who thinks the man should be in that job is an idiot.

New news from the "re-professionalized" DOJ.. Sheriff Joe Arpaio of AZ sued for discrimination.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/...izona-sheriff/

Let me guess, they'll say that his arrests of illegal aliens consist disproportionately of Hispanics. Well... Duh.... There are a lot more Mexican illegals than there are Norwegian illegals...

Traitors.

I heard a very interesting take on the 'civil rights' division of the DOJ. It is said to be a septic tank full of some of the most virulent leftist scumbags this side of the 'Supreme Soviet". In particular, the issue of redistricting was discussed where states must apply to this civil rights division to re-draw the congressional district lines based on whatever criteria mandates redistricting. It was interesting to hear how a pro-democrat redistricting for a blue state sails thru, but a red state like Texas redrawing district lines along conservative or republican lines literally should ignore going to DOJ and go right to federal court. I'm hoping the next CinC cleans that rat's nest thoroughly.

as anyone who has dealt with any governmental bureaucracy can tell you, they ALL try to burrow their own followers into the civil service.

how to tell the difference? when speaking in the first person, the office is being re-professionalized. when speaking in the third person, it is being crammed full of hacks.

.....that's true, but it seems that the 'civil rights' division of DOJ is rife with but one kind of burrowing rat. And is not the State Department itself, a left of center organization ? (YES, the answer is YES). So you might be correct in stating that all kinds are looking to burrow, but it looks like ONLY ONE TYPE of burrower is successful at it.
