Interesting... No discussion as yet about the Faith/Hope/Charity Rally staged by Glenn Beck in D.C. Looked like a lot of folks were there. Packed the Mall from the Lincoln Memorial to the Washington Monument.
Of course, the idiots on the Left were proclaiming that it was a gathering of racists because it happened to be on the anniversary of MLK's speech at the Lincoln Memorial. Obviously, the Left is nearly, if not all, idiots. Want to see where the racism was? Well, it was clearly at the Al Sharpton "Anti-Beck Rally." Here's a transcript of the speech from Mr. Shabazz, leader of the New Black Panthers (the stuff in red is mine...):

Is that what MLK was talking about and what Beck is dishonoring?) We have a black dream which is truly a vision. We have a black dream today of little black boys, little black girls, joining hands with other black youth and black students to organize, stop the violence in our communities, and unite against a common enemy.(Hmmm.... Who is that common enemy? Whitey?)
We have a black dream today, and a vision today, of all of our people, black lawyers, black preachers, doctors, teachers, scientists, rap artists, gang members - all black people working for a common cause. (gang members? Really?)
We have a dream today as I conclude, a black dream today of self defense. Of self defense in the face of racism. In the face of police brutality. In the face of overwhelming odds against us we today have a vision of a black dream today, a black dream that when we see caskets rolling in the black community, that when we see caskets rolling and funerals in the black community, that we will see caskets and funerals in the community of our enemies as well. What ever happened to MLK's Dream. The one about people being judged not by the color of their skin, but, by the content of their character? WHOSE RALLY MORE CLOSELY HELD TO MLK'S BELIEFS? Sharpton's rally, that called for violence? Or Beck's rally, where Beck, MLK's niece and others spoke about a nation in need of divine guidance and a return to the tenets of honor, integrity, faith, hope and charity?
Everyone who says it was Sharpton's rally is truly a moron.

They have wrapped themselves in their own prison to where they can't speak of anything that is good, decent and right. Honor, integrity, faith, hope and charity, would ruin their message.
I think what Sharpton's rally shows, and what Shabazz the Clown's speech shows is that it is a whole lot easier to be a character than to have character.
Shabazz and Sharpton are definitely characters.

any group calling itself 'black-anything' is inherently a racist group. And the poster who opined that there are more black racists than white, well, I think you're correct on that count as well. Blacks will say that they are disadvantaged...they cannot overcome the malaise of drugs and violence they are 'forced' to live under. I say hogwash. That's a choice that's made...they can choose to be gangsta's or they can choose to NOT be. They can go to school or they can sell crack on a street corner. They say 'peer pressure' is insurmountable and drags even the best of black youth down to the gutter. Well, I grew up in an Italian ghetto....very high dropout rate....high incidence of drug activity....teen pregnancy....recruitment into THE gang (the local mob)....and something nobody will ever quote, is that the highest rate of teen suicides in NYC are incurred by Italian-Americans...but no rallies for 'the fallen'....
Fact is that EVERYBODY has choices to make when they grow up. Obviously, if you live in an affluent area, the choices might be easier, but there ARE STILL choices to be made. Fact is that these pitiful pukes for human beings have it no harder than LOTS of other folks; there's no black monopoly on misery so they need to cut the crap and stop whining. Drop the bulls**t subculture or counterculture or whatever the EFF they call it nowadays....membership in a 'secondary' culture (such as black subculture) relegates one to second-class citizenry...and that's yet ANOTHER choice that can be made, the choice to PARTICIPATE in society, rather than to skulk in the shadows and feel jealousy and resentment towards the participants who are succeeding. These race whores should be stopped, but as long as there's a buck to be made, scum like Sharpton and Jesse will always be around. The New Black Panthers ?
