Ok, heres the deal.Im still in India working.They keep rotating guys through here from our company.They sent a couple guys about a month back, one of which is a born agan Christian.He is a nice guy, had a lot of trouble in his younger days, then he found God, got straightened out and turned his life around.Thats great, Im honestly happy for him.
But he came into the company were working at which is mostly Hindu, and Muslim faith based and immediately started ridiculing thier beliefs, behind thier backs at first and then more vocally in front of thier employees.I pretty well ignored it at first.Yesterday I find him walking through the plant with flyers about Christianity and asked him what he was doing, he said he was giving them out to thier employees.I asked where he got them and he said he had his church send them over to him.
Now in reality I dont care what religion anyone is.But this is a job site, not a church revival.He is starting to offend some of their employees with his constant harping on the subject.The flyers IMO were a little over the top, Im now sure what will happen when a pissed off employee takes them to thier administration office and reports it.
Weve been contracted through a third company to be here, were representing them over here.Theres a time and place for everything and this isnt the time or place for him to be pushing his beliefs on others of different faiths, were here to do a job, and thats all.He could get us all thrown off site by doing this.My feelings on this have nothing to do with his, or thier religous beliefs, it has everything to do with him endangering a project Ive spent the last 7 months working my ass off on.Any ideas what an appropriate course of action would be here?Ive already asked him to drop it, that was before he even brought the flyers to work.
Bottom line is, he is breaking company policy. This isn't a Christian virtue. If I was you, I would contact someone and have him removed.
I have never seen anyone turn thier life over to Christ with ridicule and forced literature.
Spread the word if he wants. If its not accepted, move on.
I mean even myself, I had to be open to the Word of God before accepting. I got to the rock bottom point where I was seeking Him.

The company has a LOT OF DOUGH invested in "their" endeavor...If it is becoming a "problem" they will deal with it appropriately. That individual will "not" come between the company, and the almighty dollar.

Just the opposite FM, its going well.Been a long time over here but when I get back Ive already got some options to look into and a career choice to make.Ive got an oppurtunity to get in on the ground floor of a brand new company thats just started up and is well connected in the field.I dont have any particuliars yet, Ive got a job offer already but due to some contractual stipulations I cant discuss it with that company in detail till I get back.
Ive been offered another job as well with a well established company but I think theres a conflict of interest there since theyre a customer of my current company and they have a clause in thier contract about soliciting our guys to work for them.
The problem with the guy seems to have solved itself, they suddenly stopped production today and hes in the list of people to get sent home as soon as its finalized in writing.Ive got to stay and watch the finishing work on another 65 blades and I hope to be back in the states by the end of next month.
