Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Didn't vote for Obama? You will have to pay up!

Got to love this one. Dems have introduced a bill that will exempt their voters from getting slapped with the massive tax increases coming early next year. It just so happens it cuts along the red state blue state lines. You see it's not fair for Dems to pay more.

WTF????? So you don't believe in liberty? Define rich? Next tell me why you have any right to your neighbor's money? Last, since you feel this way, why aren't you brave enough to walk over to your neighbor's house and demand the money directly instead of hiding behind uncle sam and his guns?

The word "rich" is like the term "assault weapon". What's considered dirt poor here is deemed rich in some countries. If you stab someone in the eye with a popcicle stick, you just made that stick an assault weapon.

I couldn't read the full article (asked me to join if I wanted to read it all). I just saw where the taxes were going to hit dem leaning states harder, but some politician was introducing legislation to keep that from happening.

Your comment is completely unrelated to the article. The guy is proposing a law that says, in essence, "a millionaire from New York doesn't have to pay as much tax as a millionaire from Mississippi, because the cost of living is higher in New York."

Seems to me that would violate the equal protection clause.

Just like the health care issue this would be considered cowardice as well. Not brave enough to go demand it from the neighbors but definitely not scared to stand behind the government while they do it and happily accept it.

As far as the rest of 420's post... if you cant afford them...dont have them. Im tired of being expected to pay the price for other people's stupidity and lack of concern about the situations they blissfully get themselves into with absolutely zero forethought of the consequences. Until we get responsible again as citizens this country is doomed.

Tax the hell out of the rich!

I'd make it 50% or 49% tax rate for those earning over $2million/year.

And that's on earned income, no tax exempt donations.

What's fair or right about that?
Especially when 47% pay no federal income tax at all.

God help the U.S.A. with attitudes like those on this thread.
