Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Newt

A Newt Gingrich quote:

"As an American I am not so shocked that
Obama was given

the Nobel Peace Prize without any
accomplishments to his

name, America
gave him the White House based on

the same
credentials."

I take it as a politician saying anything. Typical government talk, long on finger pointing, devoid on answers and that's because government isn't the answer anymore than rat poison to kill rats is. Clean up the darn yard and you won't have rats or need the poison. WE just like to fight over which poisons best while the rats steal the inhabitants blind.

Since when is oil at 70 dollars a barrel not hugely inflated? A rat is never satisfied. I'm more and more convinced were going to see government grow by leaps and bounds when the real crash comes. What was tried in 29 was keeping the market propped up with the infusion of cash, something the government is trying to do now and keep going. When it runs out, like it did in 29 the crash will hit. What we just went through was the tremor of 21-22. If it holds true it should happen in about 5 years. I'd get out of debt and stay there and for Pete's sake keep all poison locked up. Quit sitting it on the coffee table as if your proud of it. A can of Newt is no different than a can of Obama, it's all government inside.

I like the idea of Gingrich for president, but I think his moment has passed.

Like the quote, but could never vote for the guy. I'm conservative and he's messed around on so many of his wives it isn't funny. I've found that if a person can't handle their personal life, they won't be able to handle their business life ( Bill Clinton anyone).

Regardless of how you feel about Newt, can't logically argue with the quote.

Technically.... Wasn't Newt blasting someone about committing perjury about having an affair?

I'm as conservative as anyone here, and don't appreciate the fact that Gingrich cheated on one or two of his three wives, but, it never interfered with his handling of his business. When he was in charge of the House, we got as close as we have in a long long time to a balanced budget. He's on the "right" side of every issue that I care about, i.e. economic/tax/size of government/2nd Amendment/Immigration. And in a debate, he'll make Obama look like the fool that he is. Despite the indiscretions, he was the smartest guy in Washington then, and still is... Our country is in a very deep pile of dung at the moment. We need someone who knows what the hell they are doing politically. At this point, I don't give a rat's butt if he had an affair twenty years ago...
