Obama tells NBC in an interview that "nobody in the White House is satisfied" with continuing high unemployment.
But he also says the midterm congressional elections could come down to "a choice between the policies that got us into this mess and my policies that got us out of this mess."
We're out of the mess? Who knew?
Last I checked, unemployment is still sky-high with no hopes for significant improvement anytime soon, the housing market is stagnant, the dollar is still falling, consumer confidence is still dropping, economic growth projections (paltry as they were) are being scaled back...oh, and for good measure, the Fed admits that the economy may not truly recover for five or six years.
By whose definition are we "out of this mess?"

Got us out of this mess? Really? Unemployment is higher. Fuel prices have nearly doubled since he took office. The housing and auto markets pepped up for a month or so while folks were being given "free money" but are now worse than before... He's spent Trillions, but achieved nothing. Yet, many of the morons who supported him will continue to do so...
Seems he's ignoring the finding of HIS guy, Erskine Bowles, who says that the deficits will destroy the country from within, yet, Obama, in his infinite wisdom, believes we need to spend more. And more. And more.

not understand, no explanation is possible.
A golf course is a willful and deliberate misuse of a perfectly good rifle range.
After his predecessor's gaffe under a banner that said "Mission Accomplished", which served little more than to rally his opponents?
Not the brightest thing to say, but predictable in the sense and culture of this administration deflecting any and all criticism by referencing the previous administration.
His "policies" definitely did not get us out of this mess. They have gotten us further into the mess. He definitely is not a leader. He may be the President, in charge, calling the shots and cheerleading for his side but he isn't leading this country like he could and should. He is like a teenager with a credit card and running our country into a continued deficit and recession. In short, he does not know what he's doing, is making critical mistakes and is absolutely squandering a historic opportunity.

Does this mean he will take the credit for "his policies" in about 2 years when all of us are unemployed and broke?
