Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Just when do we admit...we r bankrupt ?

I keep hearing "if" we don't stop the spending we will be bankrupt. You hear this all the time on TV. Just at what point do they admit we already are. We have a 13 trillion deficit and adding up all unfunded liabilities for Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and government sponsored pension funds that gives us a figure slightly in excess of 100 trillion. I mean come one people. Just when do we admit it ????

The democrats will NEVER admit it...Hell ! THey believe we should continue spending until we've spent our way out of the recession ! That's like fighting fire with gasolene, if you ask me, but that's their solution. We need to STOP spending, cut programs, CUT TAXES and start a responsible road back to fiscal responsibility. The fight will apparently start at the ballot box in November and will be won or lost there.

Can I ask why we would cut taxes when we are trying to get out of debt?

We are trying to get out of debt? We are sure going about it in a peculiar way.

But to answer your question, it has been proven in the past that decreased taxes = increased federal revenue.

Pretty easy concept, really... Cutting taxes stimulates growth. Growth stimulates job and wealth creation. Jobs and wealth create greater tax revenue.

Only morons (read Obama and his ilk) believe you should raise taxes during an economic down cycle.

Wow.....I was gonna answer the democrat who asked about tax cuts but you guys cut him off at the knees. I'm STILL gonna give my two-cents, I'm sure you all know....

A tax cut is a 'free' stimulus for the economy. Heres the difference:
- when you TAX people, they STOP SPENDING. When you stop spending, government
gets less revenue...less sales tax, the people in the stores get laid off so less fed
income tax, the stores realize less profit, so less corporate taxes hit the government,
the laid off people apply for gov't benefits (that's an EXPENSE !), the stop spending
(with the above results), and the downward spiral continues. People who lose their
jobs default on credit card payments, home mortgages, car loans, etc. So the
democrat solution of tax-n-spend is hurtful on literally every level of society.

- tax CUTS mean you have extra money in your pocket. When you have extra money,
you spend more. People buy homes, cars, and use their credit. Companies expand
when corp taxes are cut because they can pursue their business, hire new workers,
and give bonuses and pay raises.

Tax increase = BAD
Tax cuts = GOOD !

The democrats are looking to tax literally everything you can think of, including money that's already been taxed. They're looking to remove the tax credit on mortgage interest. These are destructive policies and they just don't get it. They are NOT looking to cut programs. The amount of money they collect in taxes is dwindling; as the economy shrinks, people lose their jobs, they can't pay taxes and the vicious cycle escalates. All this is 'demonstrated' in the weekly jobless claims reports, and the government-sponsored unemployment rates. The unemployment rate is up to, like, 9.5% ? But that is a false number....that's the percentage of unemployed people COLLECTING UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS. There are MILLIONS of people who have fallen off the grid...they are not represented in those numbers because they're unable to get a job and their unemployment benefits have expired. The REAL unemployment rate is AT LEAST a few percentage points higher than is being reported.

So THAT"S why you want a tax break. That will STIMULATE the economy. THe idiocy of shovelling money into the economy serves to 'deflate' the value of our currency,
and with things being taxed all the way to Sunday, that stimulus money is not being circulated in the economy....it's like it never hit the streets....A TRILLION DOLLARS disappeared and our conditions have not changed.

That's democrat domestic policy at work. Enjoy it. You voted for it.
