This aired on Fox and it was all about the beauty of The United States of America.
The 1st Amendment, the fact that you can start your own business, you can work at whatever you like, you can tell your politicians exactly what you think and on and on.
It was truly a breath of fresh air and it made me proud to be American.
Stossel is usually pretty much on point, although some of his Libertarian positions are a bit extreme for me (i.e. I think he believes in legalizing all drugs) and, I also think he's a "don't enforce the border" guy...

I think that's because he's a crackdown on the illegal employers kinda guy...
Not sure about his drug stance, but like someone said, if heroin were legal would you suddenly run out and start doing heroin? most adults would not.
Abuse of legal drugs/illegal prescriptions, etc...is crazy nowadays, ie painkillers etc...which I heard are even harder to stop using than some drugs like heroin, coke etc...
not sure people should be going to prison/convicted felons for organic drugs either, pot, etc...
Not sure about 18 being the legal adult age for drugs if they were legal though either, 25 would be more like it IMO.

Why ? Do you worry about your statements in public ? Can you not pursue an entrepreneurial urge ? Do you have to go run and hide if you criticize an elected official ? Do you EVER hear anything about that freedom on CNN or MSNBC ?
The answers: NO...YES...NO and NO. So it's 100% a true statement. How are we, in your view, 'constrained' in these freedoms ?
I did not see the piece but I have a feeling what the above is referring to is the fact that in this country you can go as far as your talents and drive will take you. In other words, you may have been born in to a poor family, but in America, that poor person can become wealthy if they make the effort to do so. Whereas in Europe, for a long time there was a caste system. If you were born poor, you remained there with no real opportunity to advance yourself out of that situation.

The reason a flat tax guy might not be so quick to seal up the border is because the flat tax puts a tax on all sales. No income tax that can be avoided by being paid under the table, just a tax on every item you buy. So, in theory, illegals would have to pay taxes just by buying their clothes, food, ect.
More people = More items bought = More taxes paid
