Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Republicans should Boycott Kagan

Republicans should go ahead and boycott Ragan for the simple fact it will force Dem's hands to rule boycott's of judges unconstitutional. You know they wouldn't bat and eye at changing the rules when it favors them.

Let's face it, she is very liberal and very dangerous for the supreme court. She will be a carbon copy of Ginsburg. However, as bad as she will be and the extreme lack of any track record with the exception of extreme views, she will get enough votes to be confirmed. Dems don't care. So bottom line, Republicans should get a win they can use in the future and thats no more boycotting of judges.

Quote:
"You represent the best this country has to offer," Schumer said of Kagan.
As oppossed to a Black Man who came from nothing, earned everything he had out right. This man Schumer claims he adds nothing to the court. Shame on you Schumer.

Whats even worst, the left can't point to anything of substance. Kagan has done nothing, writen nothing (except for papers that Clinton library refuse to release.) So what are they praising her for?

Feinstein said her record is what matters most.
What record. Release her documents if she has such a great record.

FM, it may come as a shock but i totally agree that Republican senators should filibuster the Kagan nomination: It has nothing with her never having been a judge, to me that does not matter.

After having read every article about her that i can get my hands on; i'm opposed to Kagan because she is a liberal blissninnie in the mold of Sonia Sotomayor. Kagan is most certainly anti-gun and anti-self defense.

Regardless whether she is confirmed or not, Kagan will be an issue in the elections this fall.

Schumer like Barney Frank, Joe Biden, Ted Kennedy, Bill Clinton, Algore, Chris Dodd is just another smarmy democrat. Republicans are not perfect, but I would not leave my wife alone in a room with any of the above dems...well, maybe Barney!

She is. There is a gross double standard when it comes to judicial confirmations.

What amazes me is here we have a person with ZERO judicial experience and she is nominated for the highest court??!! How does that work?? In the real world when does anyone with zero experience get a job at the highest level of something? Would you want a surgeon with no experience performing a quadruple bypass? A pilot who never flew outside of school piloting a 747 international flight? Or a journey man contractor building your house? (That is not fair, journey men have experience!). But you get my point. Kagan has no experience, will write crappy opinions that will be laughed at by serious legal minds and pretty much serve as a rubber stamp for liberal policies.

We the people are poorly served.

There is some precedent... i.e. William Rehnquist, and, 39 others, have been appointed to the SCOTUS without prior judicial experience...

On Obama....

A pilot who never flew outside of school piloting a 747 international flight? Contract him out as a pilot on Air Force One till 2012

Or a journey man contractor building your house? (That is not fair, journey men have experience!). It's a sure bet a rank apprentice constructed the party planks of the Democrat party...

She just another laughable slob which has precipitated as a result of the parasites who pulled the lever for Obama.

The People are poorly served. I agree with you, but this is as a result of demo-ninnies voting for the incapable morons currently in office. We can also, to some extent, point fingers at all those repubs and cons who stayed home 'rather than vote for McCain' or who 'voted their conscience on a 3rd party candidate who they knew had no chance of winning the election...it's the same as the folks who stayed home. In large part, people get what they deserve. And then there are those who actually PARTICIPATED but whom are now being subjugated by the system...

Hence the reason Republicans need to boycott her. Force the Dems to change the rules and bring them in line with the Constitution. A majority is all that is required for senate aproval. Fillibusters shouldn't stand in this case. You know the Dems would have no guilt in changing those rules and it would turn this in to a win for the Republicans. It would remove the road block the Dems have used during Bush's tenure to block conservative judges.

The Republicans would never do that. The liberal media would scream so loud the Republicans would back down or never do it in the first place.

Some "genteel" senate.
