Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

And from MSNBC.

That's what a lot of people, especially "blue dogs", can't seem to understand. Conservatives don't care if it's a "R" or a "D" or a "X-Y-Z" beside the name. We don't vote for the party, we vote on principals. Of course the Republican party stands on many more conservative principals, but we have shown we will give them the boot if they stray from their base.

It doesn't take a genious to figure it out. The AZ law is strongly backed by Conservative Republicans, opposed by liberal democrats. The polls will reflect this come November, and again in 2012.

I think it's a shame how the national Democrat party has abandoned conservative democrats...they have been purposely disenfranchised from their party and have gone to being Independents, Republicans, or 'stay-at-home-dont-vote' democrats.
Some just pull the lever for known conservatives. It's a shame that the 'big tent' of the democrat party is only open to libs, socialists, marxists, maoists, communists, lenninists, trotskyites, community organizers, illegal aliens, public assistance recipients, domestic terrorists, racists, convicted felons, sex offenders, anti-semites, gun-control advocates, black and hispanic separatists, abortionists, and gay and lesbian rights advocates. No WONDER the conservatives are estranged....

Some issues are bigger than the letter D or the letter R.The people are speaking pretty clearly on this one... just like they did on health care and are on cap and tax. The problem is.. the regime in power cares nothing about the will of the people.

Two of my sisters in Illinois are true-blue Democrats. They both voted for Obama, I'm sure. One of the sister's has Obama's book, "The Audacity of Hope" in her home. Notwithstanding, when the topic of the Arizona immigration law came up in conversation during a recent visit, they immediately, unhesitatingly, whole heartedly avowed their approval of that law. Whoa! That has to make you wonder some!

Now, it has to be understood that true-blue Democrats will probably vote for a toad if it is the designated Democrat contender in an election for public office. I'm not sure this issue will cause the Democratic base to vote Republican. Likewise, the Republican base really isn't likely to switch and vote Democrat, not ever. Instead, it must be remembered that the only votes every really in play are the independents, the undecideds.

If you limit your scope to the undecideds and the independents, yah, I think you can clearly see that the administration is way on the wrong side of this one. And it isn't only their stance on the Arizona law. It is their stance on providing security for the border. It is their stance on amnesty. And this isn't the only issue on which the administration and Democrats generally fail with the center and with moderates. Healthcare, Cap and Trade, Stimulus, handling the Economy, handling the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. I would expect the independents and undecideds to break STRONGLY for Republican candidates in November, provided the Republicans field competent candidates and execute competant champaigns. The administration and the Democrat leadership have served out a banquet of champaign issues on which the Republicans can easily skewer the Democrats, so long as they execute shrewdly and competently.
