I expect Obama to sack him, just to show how "tough" and "decisive" he is.

Unfortunately I think he will be fired.

On the other hand, what McChrystal did was just plain stupid. A man of his experience should have known the military has few friends in the media.

AP has it that McChrystal has been 'relieved of duty' by 0.

Yep--he and his wife can slam the U.S. and it's citizens all day long, but when a General states the truth it just isn't acceptable.

well, the good general DID kind'a run off at the mouth....and when you call your boss a stinker and it gets back to him, usually there's hell to pay. Consider the bill taken care of......McChrystal's been replaced with Petraeus.

And now they appoint a General (Petraeus) whom bho (as a newbie senator), biden, hillary, etc. etc. etc. (basically every dem leader) declared was a failure because of the surge in Iraq?

It seems General Petraeus cares more about his country than what the idiots at the capital say--else he would have told them to "shove it".

The only part I agreed with blama about is, its absolutly important that we ensure, that the civilian population has control of the military. I mean you don't want to end up like russia.
