Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default F1stL Laura Bush ..what a disapointment!

During several interviews promoting her new book, she has come out against the new AZ immigration law, says abortion should stay legal, says shes pro gay marriage, even supports eliana keagan for the supreme court! I use to respect this woman...not anymore

Respect her for what? Lying the entire time her husband was in politics? For going along with the conservative mantra? Same ol politicians wife going along with what was scripted for her to say. You don't really think they say what they really 100% believe in do you?

You know you don't know what these people really believe. We are all just sheep for the slaughter to all these folks. At least with dingalingobama, we all know he believes in turning this country into socialist goverment controlled country.

Sorry I guess we cant all be so insightful
I respected her, cause I thought she was a classy lady, and at least a mainstream conservative, but now I see she'd rather drink the liberal koolaid, and sell books to a bunch of Opra watching cows, what a shame!

This is pretty surprising. I would not have guessed she had all of those opinions. Wow!!

Last time I looked she wasn't president. Who cares what she likes or doesn't like. Just don't buy her darn book, she won't care there will be enough out there buying her book and she'll laugh all the way to the bank.
Can you imagine what Michelle Obama thinks, and who really gives a rip what she thinks!

I already know what MO thinks, because at least she admits shes an anti american liberal, LB is a complete phony and a disgrace, makes no difference if shes president or not.

So Laura Bush isn't a classy lady because she has political viewpoints different from your own?

It's a wonder some of you guys survive in the day-to-day world once you emerge from the cocoon of your home. A person's political ideology and their integrity are totally separate.

I'm disappointed in Laura Bush's "new" (or perhaps not) viewpoints on certain things, but I still have a lot of respect for her for all the reasons I did before she wrote a book. She was one of the most classy first ladies this country has had in a long time and the perfect example of what a first lady should be. And that had nothing to do with what she thought, but with the grace and dignity with which she carried herself while her husband was in office.

No, because she pretended to be something else while her husband was in office. Just to make sure her husband kept power.

.
View points are fine, these are not the kind of view points that mean little. If she had these views why now are they public? She served as a conservative republican and held these views. I say that is the kind of abuse of the publics trust that has killed the republican party. Not just differing views.

She's for this justice simply because she's a woman, what a nut ball view. She claims it's so they are represented. I thought the government had rules against gender distinctions or is that only for the minions?

This is way over and above differing political views in a party, this is 2 different parties.

It really should not surprise people given the way Bush served.
