Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

specter goes down. blanche lincoln in a run-off. rand paul wins in kentucky. the D's win the special in PA's 12th congressional. odd, odd results. no clear trends or unifying factors that i can discern, except for general, unfocused, voter anger.

buckle up. between now and november, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.

Specter was already a goner. Can someone say scumbag? The funny thin is Sestak is planning on running against GW Bush and his supposedly tripling the debt. I guess he's proud of Obama's debt and industry take over. Lincoln won but not by enough of a margin. Who cares, she is toast in the fall time. That is if she wins her run off. Rand Paul is an R who won the R nomination.

These were just a small sample of a few primaries Boysda. I'm not sure what trend you're looking for. Does it really matter in the long run?

well, obviously, it would be nice if we could read the goat's entrails here to figure out if it can give us a clear picture of the trends that will impact the novembers. i just can't get a handle on one right now.

I don't think that we're seeing any clear mandate toward one party or the other. I think I'd have to agree that voters are angry.

President Obama probably owes a significant portion of his election to voter rage as well. Count all those people who only voted for Senator Obama because they hated President Bush.

That may not say much for making decisions out of anger. And that's what we all should be cautious of. Voter anger can wind up turning into voter regret. I don't know that I'd say that the anger we're seeing now is "unfocused", rather see that the target is emerging, and that focus appears to be on the incumbents in general, and - particularly - those who are seen to have supported party politics, position, and power over the interests of their constituents. JMO - but I don't see that as the same kind of anger we saw two years ago.
