Obama and Janet Napolitano appointed Arif Alikhan, a devout Muslim, as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development. DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano swore-in Kareem Shora, a devout Muslim, who was born in Damascus, Syria, as ADC National Executive Director as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).
NOTE: Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified
as a devout Catholic, a devout Jew or a devout Protestant....?

When did the one emigrate from Damascus, Syria and when did he become a U.S. citizen? Also, has he given up or renounced his Syrian citizenship? There are some basic questions that should be answered.

You guys, championing the "government hands off approach" want them to not consider people for positions based on their religion? Really?
If Obama said, "Yeah, I was gonna go with _______, but he's a CATHOLIC. Eww!" You wouldn't mind? Assuming he's an American citizen, qualified for the position, and there's no other issues, the religion he practices shouldn't matter.
Everyone's ignorance towards Islam is truly stunning. Never ceases to surprise me.

With roughly 300 million people who are citizens and living in the US and they make 2 Muslums, one not even US born, high homeland security officials. Makes no sense. Perhaps if they give them a high profile job it will be easier to keep track of them.

Yeah, it seems that the current administration's homeland security policy is "Pray that the terrorists are incompetent." Save for incompetence, there would have been a passenger jet down on Christmas, and there would have been a rather large explosion in Times Square. But, don't worry.... Obama's got it covered... Well... except for the Ft. Hood massacre....
