According to the original post, it was 2% in March. That equates to 24% per year, which is not a healthy inflation level. Perhaps burnie could provide the link? Was this 2% an annual rate? Or for the month?

Here are inflation rates going back all the way to 1914. As you can see, 2.31% is pretty healthy.
I do agree with you shooter that the govt needs to get spending under control. Thankfully, govt debt has become a big issue throughout the entire globe. Hopefully Greece will open the current administration's eyes to what could potentially be a big problem for the U.S.
