Should surprise nobody...there's a rat been living in the white house since 1/20/2009. Predictably, the current admin lives WITH the rodents (must be a holdover from Obammy's Chicago days...) so it must be assumed a certain level of comfort and affinity with these creatures.
The article also recounts an issue with Jimmy Carter and a swamp rabbit...heehhe...kwazy wabbit !
The only sensible recounting I read in the article was how Bush drowned the varmint in the Presidential Pool, which is a fitting end for rats of all sorts.....
