Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Immigration Protests

I am confused about what are the demands by these protesters? Do they to open the border? Has anyone else figured this out?

They don't want anyone stopped just because the color of their skin. The Hispanics that live there may be citizens and don't think it's fair to be questioned about their status.

I wonder if thousands of white skin heads came over illegally from another country and started trouble would anyone have a problem with police stopping anyone with a buzz cut?

The law is written so that police can't just stop anyone just because of the color of the skin. They must have done something and are then asked to show ID. If they don't have it then they will be detained. If I get pulled over speeding with no license or ID I will be hauled in also so why shouldn't they.

If the federal government would do its job it wouldn't be up to Arizona to stand alone and fight for this. The government doesn't want to lose votes and will look the other way as long as we let them.....time to be heard loud and clear.

Spot on Kybuckhunter. Like many "minorities", they don't want fair and equal treatment--they want special treatment, at the expense of the rest of us.

They saw a blog that had "Free food and beer, just show up". So they did. Got to give the guy who did this credit. Because when the poor bastards found out they were lied to, they get all pissed off and fired up for the liberal news to get on tape.

Those of us that are legal have go show ID all the time, for any number of priveledges--using public roads, using credit cards, certain purchases (like guns and ammo), plane tickets (and boarding), etc. etc. etc. Why should someone coming here illegally get treated better than those of us that are legal?

Like I said, just another case of a "minority" demanding special treatment at the expense of the rest of us.

You guys are in the x-ring on this one. We are also seeing the manifestation of inferior intellects...these protestors are GUARANTEED watching lamestream media which is repeating the lie that this law is race-based. Morons....and they're too stupid to check the validity of the claims on their own.....they DESERVE to be deported, we have overdrawn our quota of idiots as of election day 2008...

Of course it counts for everyone...it's just a band of idiots and their minions who portray this as a Mexican-only policy. I'd personally LOVE to see it work for Pakistanis here illegally, SaudiArabians here illegally, EVERYONE here illegally.

Here's a question tho:

we issue special visas for foreign nationals to come here to study
we issue special visas for foreign nationals to come here to work

Why, if we have paperwork on students and foreign contract workers, do we not FOLLOW UP to see they're doing what they're SUPPOSED to be doing here ? So, if an El Salvadoran comes here on a student visa, and quits school, WHY IS HE NOT IMMEDIATELY SENT HOME ? Likewise, when a guy here from Bangalore on a work visa loses his job, WHERE's HIS RETURN TICKET HOME ?
Why are we not tracking the foreign nationals that come here WITH papers but with conditions attached ? We are the creators of our own insanity, in large part....

Votes. It is interesting to watch.

"10's of thousands" of protestors. Is that supposed to be impressive in a country of over 300 million. Not to me yet some try and make it out to be.

I once was in a group of a million and that wasn't much or taken as much.
