You may have missed the sarcasm. He knew it wasn't actually tea partiers and is questioning why actual violent conduct at rallies staged by those on the left is not reported, while peaceful rallies staged by those on the right are reported as attempts to foment violence.

If it was not so infuriating, i'd laugh at these scumbuckets. The violence ALWAYS comes from the left, always. Seems to me, that tear gas, dogs and bats are fitting accoutrements for such garbage. Personally, I'd LOVE to see Mayor Daley's crack Konvention Kops from 1968 magically transported to Phoenix to deal with illegals and their sympathizers demanding that which they are not entitled to.
On a more serious note, it seems there is a purposeful distortion of what the Arizona bill represents and what it actually empowers police to do. It is very narrowly worded, apparently, and is expected to stand up to legal challenge. That being said, the sole issue of contention is the usurpation by the state of Arizona of Federal authority in enforcing immigration law, something the feds are STILL not willing to do.
Look at these tea party protesters. I see what the libs have been talking about.
