Yep, one would think that there would be prerequisites for positions like the SEC. Too bad the Republicans in the US senate did not hang tough on the nomination of Geithner. Sadly, the opposition party seldom seriously opposes the appointment of unqualified hacks. It would set a bad precedent that could blow up in their faces the next time the political wind changes.

Some claim that Geithner may have aided and abetted Lehman in accounting fraud.
