Obama spends 9,000 gallons of fuel spent too.....
Give a speech to tell the rest of the country to conserve fuel. Kind of like the fart tasting summit in Copenhagen. At least Carter wore a sweater and turned down the heat in the White House. What is wrong with a radio/T.V. message? Oh yea, the elite must not suffer. They are far to important to do as they say.
Something else, when will we as a country insist on presidents paying their own bill when they go stump for underlings campaigns. Why must we spend tax dollars flying presidents around to campaign for who they choose? I don't think this is too much to ask from all parties.

And, that's only for Air Force One, which never flies alone. Had to have another jet to bring his limos and his security people, etc., etc., etc. And, does he also get a fighter escort? How much fuel does an F18 burn?
