Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

So let me get this right slick, the Tea Party goers are like McVeigh. Or as you insinuate, they might cause others to blow up federal building? Does Clinton mean the same guy who blew up the fed building after the Branch Davidian mess?

Alright, all you rightwing nuts, time to shut up and do as the Democrats tell you. Be a nice little soldier.

First they tried to marginalize the grass root organization by ignoring and downplaying the numbers involved. As the movement grew and rallied all over the country, the label change to one of Racist, Right Wing Extremists, and Homophobes. When surveys showed that many were mainstream Americana, with a higher level of education and income, which encompassed many Repubs, Dems and Indys, the label no longer applied. Now they use the fear of radical extremeist in the ranks, that are ready to cause mayhem. I believe that they are running scared of losing their grip on the steering wheel, and their agenda is heading for the ditch. One can only hope. I find it laughable that Clinton has to resort to calling the movement, "Teabaggers". It shows his contempt. I guess it depends on what the meaning of is, is. Right?

They're playing straight out of Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky. "Marginalize the opposition..."

I feel that they made their move, a generation too early. The question is, what does the country do, when they are marginalized. You can't hunt all day with a stone in your boot.

And next you dehumanize them.

And then you are free to dispose of them.

The situation at hand is at least somewhat volatile, considering that the media seems to be a willing player in slanting the conclusions as to the facts behind the current events.

History is happening.

The problem with your theorem is that my opinions are backed by empirical evidence consisting of observation of the Liberals and Dems words and deeds.

I didn't see where Clinton called Tea Party members "teabaggers" but perhaps that was in a different article. If Clinton was foolish enough to say that, it was a huge mistake that will be used to judge him long after the Tea Party has achieved their results.

I think Emptyquiver2 has it right. There has been an effort to downplay the # and importance of the Tea Party. When that effort failed, accusations of racists, homophobes, right wing, etc. were used and those still didn't work. Now there is an effort to accuse them of inciting or fomenting violence. That won't work either.

As emptyquiver2 points out, the Tea Party isn't composed of violent people or thugs. Instead, many Tea Party people are mainstream America, belong to most political parties and even includes some people who are becoming political for the first time in their lives. They often do have more education and a higher income but that doesn't describe all of them either. Their belief in less government, less spending, less taxes and more freedom resonates with many Americans because those are basic and cherished American values.

Clinton is wrong and he should instead examine his own conduct and words along with his "colleagues" as they are contributing much more to this volatile situation with their condescension, marginalizing and insulting of everybody else. It isn't just the Tea Party members that Clinton, the media and some liberal cronies are insulting--It's you, me, millions of middle-class Americans from all political parties, those who are apolitical and yes, even those wackos they're worried about. Insulting an unstable person isn't wise but they somehow feel compelled and quite free to do so, even at their own self-recognized peril.
