At least about 3-5 of those scumbags should lose their jobs and be charged with aggravated battery, ie a felony and be convicted of it! not enough to simply lose their jobs in my eyes...
I like how they charged him with crimes when its clear he wasn't doing anything and was even backing up when he saw the horse. Luckily we have cameras almost everywhere nowadays, but if they're not on or not in an area just imagine all the other bs people have been charged with like this, they get charged when they're the ones who got beat up!
Hopefully the guy will win a few million $$ in court...

I can imagine that lucky feeling being a bunch of nails in the coffin of the history of this country. Camera's have no place in a free society. Get that straight and I don't care that in this case it worked out. All that needs done is a change in the law to allow this kind of behavior to be accepted and walla, life just got a whole lot worse.
Why would it matter what he said? According to my husband it is not a crime to say something to a cop that is not nice.
You're assuming things that aren't there. And no offense to your husband but I like to get as much of the story of what happened as possible. I don't like to jump to conclusions if I can help it although as I've already stated, this doesn't look good.

Who's jumping to conclusions? All I posted was that it's not a crime to say something nasty to a cop, so there's really no need to know what was said. It may not be advisable, which the video seems to illustrate, but it's not a criminal offense.
Honorable Husband has a feeling that this is going to wind up in a civil suit before a jury. Forget the internal "investigation." And the standard of proof in a civil suit is preponderance of the evidence he tells me.

do a police brutality search on you tube, enough to keep you busy for days.
I know your gonna say theres bad apples in everybunch but I am still trying to find a good apple.
I'm not big on cameras tracking our every move either, but even more upsetting to me is these cops who get completely off of serious crimes against people.
Might not be so common elsewhere but in chicago we're always seeing stuff on the news about police brutality, an infamous and fairly recent case the cop was reprimanded and I think was let go on paid leave, until the camera tape showed up, and was later convicted of aggravated battery I think.
Unless you get a cop on film performing the illegal act they're getting of, period!
No other cop is going to testify against his "brother"
As well it may be the one who got beaten who is going to be facing the charges.
Makes me sick!
A free-er society would be nicer, no cameras, no police brutality, cops who told the truth on stand rather than lie to protect their brothers in arms, etc...etc...
