This has got to be a right wing conspiracy because we were told the recession is over, and since we had such an increase in census jobs, we can all now praise Obama for saving us.
Dont worry Will, Obama will dump the bulk of the stimulus money on the public before the election. That way he can say he created a bazillion jobs.

Oh it will seem like it to the folks who don't know any better. However, we are still under the influences of the feds picking winners and loosers in the market place. 2/3rds of the 1 trillion dollar sedative package hasn't been spent yet and 1/3rd is due to be spent between now and Nov. Gee, I wonder why? Huge tax increases will kick in next year. Bush tax cuts will expire and will affect Americans pocket book by an ave $2500/yr. Furthermore, along with even more taxes they are cooking up since they have been in office and they're not done yet. Here are the new taxes just on healthcare that will kick in (remember, your health insurance rates are going to go up not down next year despite what Obama was saying):

Your point is? A recession is when a country's economy is under a state of contraction. Our economy is currently expanding, hence we are currently not in a recession. Yes, I understand that taxes will probably increase across the board and unemployment is still high, I'm not arguing against that. I'm simply stating that we are currently not in a recession.
On a bright note, earnings so far have been great. Hopefully this is a good sign for employment in 2010.
point is, that it isn't over. Right now we're merely seeing and artificial return to a tiny bit of growth that isn't going ot last for long.
