Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Dems going after CEO's of major corporations again!

Fox News is just reporting:

Dems are demanding the CEO's come before them on April 21 to explain why they are reporting 14 billion in loses due to the newly passed healthcare bill. They are demanding all their books and emails to be opened. One he list Verizon, at&t, John Deere, CAT, Valero, AK Steel and 3M.

Hmmm, imagine that, healthcare wasn't free? You mean you add millions who refuse to pay for their own healthcare and it costs money? Damn it, we fixed it last week. All should be look rosey not Rosie O'donnell

The second amendment only applies to liberals and their agenda. If you speak the truth, or even if you just speak discouraging to the liberal agenda, you will be racked over the coals.

Can anyone say FASCISM.

Burnie, your having another senior moment, that's the First Amendment. But hey how dare anyone speak the truth if it is not in line with the liberal progressive agenda.

You are being facitious, and I appreciate that. On the other hand, there is so much more to what you have bumped up against that is not laughable. Excuse me if I don't laugh. I suppose this is generally not new in politics, but perhaps it is rising to a new level and is particularly dangerous under the current "perfect storm" of politics in the US. Not to dwell on this "perfect storm" thing too long, but what I mean is the additive weight of (1) a democratic president, (2) a democratic house majority, (3) a democratic senate majority, and (4) a psychophantic mainstream media which refuses to call the Democrats to account and instead play the role of uncritical cheerleaders. If any one of these 4 factors were different, our politics would be different right now. For example, imagine if the media had the courage to say the emporeor has no clothes. What do I mean? What if they pointed out that no entitlement program ever comes close to hitting its projections and hence the helathcare bill will necessarily dramatically overshoot its projected costs. What if they called foul on the ease with which politicians rhetorically accuse anyone who disagrees with their opinion a racist?

Falsehoods are blithely put out there by Democrats and repeated, repeated, repeated and not challenged by the mainstream media. The healthcare bill will pay for itself. The healthcare bill will not reduce quality of services to Medicare/Medicaid patients. No challenges to those blith assurances? Nothing possible to go wrong there? The strategies of repetition and advancing little lies followed by big lies are the strategies of brainwashing. Just repeat the lie often enough, people will begin to believe it. I'm being absolutely serious. Again, this is most dangerous in the context of the hegemony of the 4 factors described above. A free press would challenge these lies and not let them go unchallenged.

Perhaps this has long been a staple of politics. Perhaps. My point is that even so, it is most dangerous in our current situation where the Democrats and their psycophantic media cheerleaders would pass a law ruling that the earth is flat and it would pass and the media would find a way to support it and the idiotic masses would come to believe it by dint of repetition of the falsehood.

I watched an interview with Fran Tarkenton yesterday where he described Obama's business experience challenged advisers and Henry Waxman's proposed inquisition of CEOs as the interrogation of competent business professionals by "Keystone Kopps." How could the administration not foresee corporations modifying medical plans in response to his "plan." Seems the old "Law of Unintended Consequences" has bit the Obamunist academic propeller heads.
