Remember the events of the last two years or be doomed to witnessing them yet again. Fail to participate in addressing the problems of those around you, presume that someone else (your employer) will pay forever YOUR freight and eventually the heavy hand of government will wrest the reins from your hands.
Obama et al have won. It wasn't pretty and it wasn't 'fair' but they got the job done when our side failed to so much as properly address it.
Now it is law.
The right will now presume to muddle about playing defense and wailing.
All that I predicted over the last 5 years or so has come to pass.
So, VC now claims healthcare is fixed. Am I reading this correctly?

Yep, VC, the evil deed is done because the Republicans did nothing about the problem when they ran the entire US government. Cost of healthcare in the US doubled in 8-10 years and still they did nothing. The Republicans are out of power, out of touch and out of ideas. All they can do is whine, distort the truth and tell outright lies: Just like the Democrats did when they were out of power, out of touch and out of ideas.
Such is the plight of a country where one must choose between two evils every few years.
Two questions falcon, when did Republicans run everything?
Are healthcare costs now going to go down?

He's a big boy and quite capable of answeing himself. However, I didn't get that out of his post. He was noting that it has passed. He didn't necessarily say that he agrees with it all as a "fix".

Are you sure? VC said: "they got the job done" . Heathcare is fixed now, we may rest easy. It's all going to be getting better now.
Hey falcon, you still have never answered this question: When have the Republicans controled everything? You know and I know, NEVER!

You are wrong. I didn't even infer that health care is "fixed."
The job they completed was passing what was basically their package. Despite the intentions and desires of a majority of this nation's people, from what I saw and read, at least.
Falcon's response is pretty much dead nuts on the money.

Ok, if falcon is right, when did Republcans EVER control everything? Also, you have claimed they did nothing in the past but then why did the Dems severely hurt HSA's? Medicare plus? Take away tax breaks for corporations to cover their own retirees which is forcing at&t to take a 1 billion dollar loss and others adding up to 14 billion loss across 3500 corporations?
I could also ask why your so against employer paid healthcare yet unwilling to take a stand to outlaw it? I also would like to know why your so against membership only doctor's offices that take only cash and wouldn't want to pass more leglislation to help more come on line.
Do you think with the passing of this healthcare, corporations might employ doctors directly to care for their own employees to save costs?

What in the world does one have to do with other? Why does the Republican's historic ignorance of the problem somehow mean that the democrats wouldn't screw things up when granted the latitude and power? What in the world are you babbling about? That doesn't even make a lick of sense.

You, sir, have not the foggiest clue what I do or do not "stand up for" outside the narrow-minded confines of this forum, so stop posturing and beating your chest as though you know what you're talking about. You do not.
Furthermore, you are on record as having posted the words of a guy you loudly and clearly touted as an authority on the subject of employer-sponsored insurance...and he loudly and clearly condemned it, didn't he?

More conjecture, pure fabrication, and uncut nonsense on your part. Its heart-warming to see that you still cannot come up with anything in response to the facts I regularly post without twisting my words...or simply making things up as you go along. I defy you to show any post wherein I said I was "against" any such thing. I defy you.

If you want to know what I think or what I would "stand up" to "outlaw,"I would respectfully submit that you'll have to learn to approach me with a measure of genuine respect and intellectual integrity, instead of twisting my words and hoping to bait with disingenuous, fabricated, and false presumptions every time you address me. Until then, you'll be relegated to being ignored.
