Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Workers Comp/Don't ask don't tell???

I really don't know how to frame the question on this, I'm that frustrated with this issue. Are the company officers who use this practice, criminals? How about the insurance co's who do the insuring? Now what of any employees who know of an illegal, are they aiding and abetting with their silence?? I feel the illegal is a criminal the minute they ILLEGALLY step one foot across the boarder. I think all involved should be prosecuted. http://mlive.com/news/detroit/index....for_illeg.html

According to the article only two states do not allow worker's comp payments for illegals who are hurt on the job. IMO: Those scumbag companies hire illegals knowing that they are illegal. When an illegal gets hurt on the job the company does not want to pay worker's comp. This is putrid.

The supervisors, managers and executives of companies that hire illegals belong in jail.

I would love to put the highest ranking company officers/managers in jail for hiring illegals.

Me too!!! I give away millions of dollars of construction contracts each year, and I see how hard it is for honest working American contractors have to fight the illegals.

In California you can't find non-hispanic workers in "the trades." Most of the citizen craftsmen I know are struggling. The contractors hiring the illegals are doing it for only one reason, they can cut costs and intimidate the workers into doing what they want. I understand needing to cut costs but legal citizens can do the work just as well or better.

IMHO when you hire illegals you are just as bad or not worse than the scumbag so called American companies that once they get a startup going in the US with tax payer dollars from you and I then move the manufacturing over to an Asian country.

I am in the lanscape biz and I use ONLY verifiable people that are able to work here. I don't care if a legal 3 man crew cost me another 200 a week in wages.
