Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Wow, I wouldn't call that retirement! I'd call that a vacation.

While VanDerhei attributed the decline in current savings rates to job losses, mortgage problems and the suspension of corporate 401(k) matches in 2009, he said the economy isn't entirely to blame.
Why not put the blame where it truely belongs, THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT! With the money that is stolen out of peoples pay checks everyday by the federal government, people would be able to retire with dignity. Instead, they won't be able to retire and the false promise of SS will give them 1200/mo (if their lucky) to live on. It's time now to change the system and privatize SS.

With a cross section of only 1150 people, 25 years of age and up, I really would like to see a bigger study done.

I think if you count on the government for your retirement your depraved. Im a 21 year old tank builder, my generation will probably never see government retirement benefits at all anyway

At 21 you have a ways to go yet. Try and squirrel a few bucks away every week into a program and you should do well down the road. Time is on your side.
