That is too logical a place to start.

Tort reform, frivolous lawsuit reform, portability across state lines for health insurance would all be good places to start.

I agree with Fieldmouse, let the government stay out of our business. They have enough to worry about without taking on more than they can handle.
As far as health care, I'm fine with what I have. I've been paying for insurance for a long time. Of course I'm in the position to take care of my financial obligations. There does need to be some sort of reform ie. preexisting conditions and uniform state laws, but those things could be worked out if they would just stop playing politics.

Reform but definitely not single payer. There's already enough people mooching off the government.

Less government regulations, less government involvement, less government mandates.. did I mention less government? Get the damn gov out of the way and let real competition and capitalism work.

A few questions before I vote...

What is met by single payer ?

We diffently need reform..although some may be consideedr mouchers off the government..I know a few who despartely need government aid and are not getting any..We do need reform of some kind..BUT the government concerns me alot..In the last `10 years we American are losing more and more rights..They have pretty much taken over the school system and have made a big mess of it.

Our homeless population in my immediate area is now 4 times what it used to be..about 200 sleeping literally on the streets..it's interesting ..I know many of these folks..for I taught ESE { Mentally Handicapped } 13 of my 2o years...most are not alcoholics..they are mentally handicapped folks whose IQ is in the gray area..they get no government aid and are too mentally disabled to work..they are now bums..unless they have family..

We adopted such a child..His parents were alcoholics..so my adopted son is Alcohol Syndrome..normal IQ is 100..His is a 76..He's taken medication for seizures...has always been in a classroom with only 6 kids and 3 adults..failed every state standardized test..has a yearly IEP from the school..and has been turned down twice from recieving SSI...So we as a nation face a big mess..becaue the population of these folks are growing in big numbers..
