Elton John on Jesus

I am just wondering if any one else was as hacked as i was about Elton's comments last week. He states that Jesus was gay. Now Mr flashy Pants has the right to not believe in Jesus but why does he feel the need to attack what many of the rest of us believe? Just wanted to see what everyone else thought. Oh and by the way I can't stand his music.

Remember entertainers thrive on the attention of others. Negative attention is still attention. It is the same reason "Madonna" has been doing her anti-Catholic/Christian thing for the past 30 years.

I don't let it bother me. The more I see and hear this kind of stuff the more it convinces me of the truth of Jesus.

Christians are not perfect and so I am receptive to legitimate criticism. But to mock someone and say things you know are hurtful and inflamatory, well all I can say is bring it on. If I am mocked, laughed at etc., for Christ, well I am in very good company.

Oh and one other thing: Elton John hasn't had a decent tune, IMHO, since the 1970's.

You know its not too uncommon for folks to bend religion and faith to thier worldly wants instead of bending themselves to a doctrine. They essentially make themselves thier own god.

For, instance, some don't like going to church, so they use 1 Peter passages that some church leaders will lead some astray to excuse them, but ignore the fact that Hebrews says to not stand in the way of believers being together. Or ignore fact that other books detail how church leadership should be put together. Others claim God told them to get divorced but ignore the fact that Jesus said quite the contrary. It goes on and on. That fruitcake isn't doing anything different than probably 40% or more sitting in the pews. The difference is he attacks Jesus Christ personally.

Nobody said there was anything wrong with freedom of speech, just the man said something very stupid.

Nowhere in the history of the Jewish people is it accepted to have unnatural sexual intercourse as homosexuals do. I mean, why would any man want to put thier private parts in a sewer? The colon is full of bacteria, and nastiness. I mean, it should be against the law just for the nastiness, I mean what is wrong with these freaks.

Whats the difference if we express our thoughts too,... Don't we have freedom of speech as well, or is freedom of speech confined to those whom you agree with?
