In a recent interview, General Norman Schwartzkopf was asked if he thought there was room for forgiveness toward the people who have harbored and abetted the terrorists who perpetrated the 9/11 attacks on America.

His answer was classic Schwartzkopf.

The General said,



"I believe that forgiving them is God's function, OUR job is to arrange the meeting.

Outside of Marble Falls Texas Gen Leroy Sisco has a ranch,(Leroy and I are friends). Gen Schwartzkopf was there on one occasion and I mentioned something about being spit on from coming in from Viet Nam, Leroy ask him were you ever spit on. He looked over his sunglasses and said, "There ain't a man alive that's ever spit on me."

He is a man of action. I've heard the arranging the meeting in many circles, but this would be something he would say.

When I was TAD to USCENTCOM back during the Desert Shield/Storm I had the pleasure to briefly meet the General. To say he is a man's man is an understatement. A very commanding presence, yet he still understands that he puts his pants on one leg at a time just like the next man.
