Just caught it on the news...Obamacide said last night that if you go out and get a fat college loan then go work in the public sector for 10 years then they will forgive the rest of the student loan??!! And after 20 years if you work in the private sector...this guy is a complete and utter moron!!

Watching it right now on Glen Beck and my jaw hit the floor. Today, because the government believes kids need to go to college, they enable the kids to borrow now and not worry if your major will allow you to payoff your student loans. If government wasn't using our stolen money for this purpose, these kids just might think twice before they waste their time in so many BS majors. Instead of looking at the disaster these programs are, Obama wants to double down and just make it basically free?

Well the liberal progressives enabled people to take mortgages way beyond their means, why not an education as well. Then we can have an education bubble. Nothing like having a well educated, unemployed work force living in tent cities that the Socialist are providing for with the tax dollars from a few. Now why is it that even with my high school education I can see that the math just doesn't add up.

I guess as a kid gettin ready to go off to college, I like the sound of this, but I dont know all the details of it. All i know is that id hope in 20 years i would already have my student loan paid off anyway. I see you say 10 years for the public sector, but i dont wanna work for government... too much wrong with it already. the pension and benefits i hear are nice, though, but thats besides the point.

FYI, it also averages now almost 2X in yearly income when compared to the private sector.

I would have to hear more of the specifics of the program. If it ends up producing a lot of nurses, doctors, teachers, or even folks with technical training who are often in short supply then it could be a good thing. But then again, i don't know if you could refer to any degrees as useless within this context, because all of them will provide some sort of useful background for taking Civil Service exams for basic administrative positions, and many such positions require a college degree but not a specific major.
