"I already told them, you know, `I got here with the help of a close group of friends and very little help from anyone down there, so there'll be issues when I'll be with you and there are issues when I won't be with you,'" Brown said Thursday during the half-hour interview. "So, I just need to look at each vote and then make a proper analysis and then decide."
Asked how McConnell and Kyl responded, Brown said, "They understood. They said, `You can probably do whatever you want, Scott. And, so, just let us know where your head's at, and we'll talk it through, and just keep us posted.'"
The senator-elect did not elaborate on possible breaking points, though the Washington newcomer dismissed any suggestion he will relent once he starts working in the highly partisan capital.
Grid lock saves this country and our freedom. Everyday those jokers meet in DC, another piece of our freedom is lost. They are the problem in America.

Isn't the design of our system of government suppose to cause more political gridlock than not?

I don't know if you could get a real right winger elected in Mass. but he's definitely further to the right than Susan Collins or Olympia Snowe. I'm kind of hoping J.D. Hayworth manages to unseat McCain in Arizona. That would get their attention.

Im watching that race very closely as well. It would not hurt my feelings if McCain lost to Hayworth.

Unintended consequences and God have one thing in common: Liberals don’t believe in either of them.
McCain I feel really doesnt have a threat in AZ. He is pretty well liked there. Hayworth I believe has voted for every earmark that has come his way, I am sure his record will come up .
Brown also has to represent all of his constituents, not just Republicans, etc. He will be an improvement and will help bring about better bi-partisan solutions.

It is true that gridlock has saved us many freedoms, however, we were once a much better country. The idea was not to just save our freedoms but to flourish as a country. That can only happen through co-operation. Since the Progressives now out rule either party, it just ain't gonna happen.
