Why not? The entire point of a commercial of that nature is to reach as many people as possible so that you might persuade them to share your point of view. It's hard to reach any more people with a TV commercial than would be reached during the Super Bowl.

I don't know if there is a bad place to protest the killing of innocent children. Abortion is something that drives me crazy, why does an individual have the right to kill an unborn child?
We go insane trying to rescue a dog, or flock to natural disasters like in Haiti, but we turn our heads to baby killing, the most despicable crime know to humanity!

Thumbs down

Certain products are better advertised in their own setting only, abortion is most definitely one such product. If you want one there's no shortage of clinics that can direct you without sickening me while I'm watching tv. It bothers me enough just knowing that it exists. Tampons are another such product...

Superbowl is more about money and advertisements. If one has the flow, its the place to place anything they want, no matter if its to push peta agenda, liberal, pro-huntin, on and on.

Why not, it brought us nipples before why not an anti abortion commercial?

You're talking about the one with Tebow in it, and how many thought he should have been aborted?

The Associated Press reported this week that the ad’s theme will be “Celebrate Family, Celebrate Life,” with Pam Tebow sharing the story of her difficult 1987 pregnancy -- instead of getting an abortion she decided to give birth to Tebow, the now-famous quarterback who went on to become a Heisman Trophy winner, leading the Gators to two BCS wins.

Certainly, the Super Bowl is an appropriate place for an anti-abortion ad. If you can put farting horses on there, you should be able to put anything!

i got no issue with it, if you can afford the air time. but a couple years back, didn't one of the networks airing the superbowl refuse a lefty/prochoice commercial? memory's a little hazy there, if someone else remembers the specifics.

i'd prefer consistency. air anything that passes FCC regs, but don't reject some but not others based upon content.
