Default Federal Spending Freeze?

One of the topics that our Anointed Leader is going to touch upon on his State of the Union message Wednesday is Federal Spending Freeze.

I thought it's like putting a band aid on an amputation!

Is it a little too late or has Barry finally listening to the people, I'm just afraid he will cut necessities.

Rev

You are right, it is too late to fix the country. He has been in office for a year and it is simply too too late to try to do anything. Maybe he will cut a program that someone in your family indirectly benefits from.

It's a joke for him to talk about. First, he's only talking about freezing non-descretionary spending. He was handed this when he took office but he and the Dems decided to bump it up to 15% from 0% or less. Then on top of that, they threw in almost a trillion dollars for good measure. WTF is he talking about? Hech, with all that money that has been spent, there will be no freeze. Over halfthat trillion still isn't spent. Why not cancel that now and reverse back to the 08 levels on non-descretionary spending? That would be a sign of good faith and right direction. Then maybe we can have a serious discusion on entitlements in this country.

I say this only because I've dusted off my retirement portfolio and looked out long term for my retirement years. When asked to include or not to include any SS, I put down $0.00. I know it's not going to be there and truth be told, shouldn't be there. However, for those who contiue to look towards government, who really do you trust? Just how much faith do you put in either group, government or the private sector?

I doubt he will cut any program anyone in my family is on (we're Conservatives we believe in WORK).. my mom is 85 years old and still works in a bank, I doubt there are many in your family WillyPa that know what a job is at 85. You can spew your liberal trash all over me anytime Willy, but keep my family out of it.

How are liberals so dense? WillP, the moron's whole plan was to spend our way out of a recession. This is the plan he exposed to the public anyway. If this could possibly work, how is putting a spending freeze even a band aid? The reason he's talking about a spending freeze is because he knows that even the idiots of the country, with the exception of a few, nudge nudge, are starting to realize that less federal spending is what our country needs. Where have I heard that before?

Naturally he'll continue to attempt to appease the morons who have worked hard to put him in office. He'll continue to raise spending for the causes that are most popular among the pretty people of our society- environment and such.

This with his new tax credit talks would make one think that he's using someone else's play book. Unfortunately he really isn't reading it properly.

Geez Rev

Nice to hear that Mom is working for an organization that exists solely because in past years the government got involved, saved the banking system and now provides insurance to banks that they couldn't possibly get in the open market.

Also, the whole fed system of handling money, checks and wires could never ever exist without fed intervention.

Are you smoking crack? your statements just keep getting dumber and dumber. Banks were around long before the Fed was even a theory. Tell me there Macfly why is that the government and the Fed won't open up the books to an audit? The only reason the Fed is in existence is the progressives taking our economy off of the gold standard, which by the way I know this will be real hard for you to comprehend, it the whole cause of the economic mess we are in.

Thunder.

Banks would not exist and too too much money would have been lost and stolen were it not for gov't regulation and the FDIC.

That label "FDIC" (US GOVERNEMNT) is a guarantee that you will not lose all of your money within limits.

Tell bernie's clients that they should be happy they invested in a non gov't backed bank of sorts.
