That only a small percentage of people see that the largest reason that healthcare costs are as high as they are is that frivolous lawsuits and excessive awards in malpractice suits. Which thereby drive up the amount of defensive medicine being practiced and making malpractice insurance ever more expensive, necessitating the need for ever higher rates for hospital and doctor services. Yet the politicians continue to ignore this fact. Could it be that the politicians are in the pockets of the trial lawyers and insurance companies? I think so.

Another HUGE expense is government required administrative requirements. Check out the extra clerical and legal support your doctor employs. Limbaugh said he received a 30+% discount just for paying his bill without insurance. There's no mystery who pays for the illegals, welfare recipients and the reduction by government of Medicare bills.
