Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Angry The hypocrisy of the liberal mind

74-year-old N.C. state senator shoots, wounds intruder at his home

TABOR CITY, N.C. — A sheriff says a North Carolina state senator shot one of two intruders at his home and hospital officials say the man is in fair condition.
Multiple media outlets reported that Columbus County Sheriff Chris Batten said that 74-year-old Sen. R.C. Soles of Tabor City shot Kyle Blackburn late Sunday afternoon.
A spokeswoman at Loris Community Hospital in South Carolina said Monday that Blackburn was in fair condition.
Batten says the shooting occurred when two men went to the senator’s house and tried to kick in his front door. No charges have been filed.
The sheriff’s office said the State Bureau of Investigation was handling the case. A call to an agency spokeswoman was not immediately returned. There was no answer at a number listed for Soles’ home.
The Democrat has been in the Senate 32 years.
Long time Anti-Gun Advocate State Senator R.C. Soles, 74, shot one of two intruders at his home just outside Tabor City, N.C. about 5 p.m. Sunday, the prosecutor for the politician's home county said. The victim, Kyle Blackburn, was taken to a South Carolina hospital, but the injuries were not reported to be life-threatening, according to Rex Gore, district attorney for Columbus, Bladen, and Brunswick counties. The State Bureau of Investigation and Columbus County Sheriff's Department are investigating the shooting, Gore said. Soles, who was not arrested, declined to discuss the incident Sunday evening. "I am not in a position to talk to you," Soles said by telephone. "I'm right in the middle of an investigation." The Senator, who has made a career of being against gun ownership for the general public, didn't hesitate to defend himself with his own gun when he believed he was in immediate danger and he was the victim. In typical hypocritical liberal fashion, the "Do As I Say And Not As I Do" Anti-Gun Activist Lawmaker picked up his gun and took action in what apparently was a self-defense shooting. Why hypocritical, you may ask? It is because his long legislative record shows that the actions that he took to protect his family, his own response to a dangerous life threatening situation, are actions that he feels ordinary citizens should not have if they were faced with an identical situation. It has prompted some to ask if the Senator believes his life and personal safety are more valuable than yours or mine. But, this is to be expected from those who believe they can run our lives, raise our kids, and protect our families better than we can.

Next, you're going to tell me that no liberal would ever take a limo to the airport, to get on a private plane, to fly to a conference on global warming, to decry the use of fossil fuels and propose confiscatory taxes on those who use them...

<--- yep... I'm a-drinkin the koolaid...

The same arguement can be made for their healthcare bill. Obamacare was just fine for us commoners, but not for them. Just being reported that Pelosi says she now doesn't have the votes needed to pass this Socialist grab of power. The Bill looks dead.

It's not dead, just lying in wait until they do some damage control. The only thing more certain than the sunrise is the blind stupidity of libtards.

Wow that does put a stink in your nose. Not like I didn't suspect they weren't against guns as long as they are the only ones holding them. Just proves it.

This man should be tried for some kind of crime for his past actions. How many people have died because of his mouth?
Aint right these people can't be brought to some justice. Instead these people retire and live high on the hog. Aint right.

My mother, God rest her sole, something she refused me to ever say, was a hard core Liberal. She was also a member of ALF, when she lived in the states. She tried to force her views on everyone with no notion of compromise. She had the most closed mind of any person I ever met, with the acception of her few friends. I can tell you with no hyperbole, the liberal mind is very closed. I was raised as a progressive and hated every minute of it. I saw lots of elitist types while growing up in South America. You all would be well advised to get the whole crew of liberals out of your government. It leads to the death of the middle class and creates a poor vs. rich environment. Accept the poor are held to such subservience that it is impossible to every overcome the elitist rich. That is when the liberals have all the power and nothing can be done. I pray that you Americans will not make the mistake of continuing on the liberal course. If I could vote I would. But since I am working on my citizenship, I am not afforded such privileges yet. My vote would be against every liberal in office, regardless of their opposition.

Thank you for reading

Plenty of hypocrites on both sides. I've lost track of the family values touting Republicans who get caught with hookers or small boys. However, nothing ticks me off more than someone who would deny me the right to defend myself and my family with a gun, but thinks that he should not be subject to the same rules.

Kind of like Rosie O'Donnell throwing a fit over gun ownership, yet surrounding herself with heavily armed body guards and doing commericials for a store that sells firearms.

The question is how did it get there? Why were they allowed such power? In this country for the time being power is given by the people. Why would power be given to those who would destroy us?

What do you mean "reguardless of their opposition."?
